Chef, Author, Lead for FoodLab
Erik Oberholtzer
Erik Oberholtzer is the co-founder of Tender Greens, a pioneering fine-casual brand founded in Los Angeles, CA in 2006 with a mission to democratize good food. A vision of the future he continues to drive through his work as a food advocate.
In 2019, Erik joined Cohere as an advisor to founders of conscious brands as they navigate the headwinds of scale. With the success of Tender Greens, he provides a founder-centered roadmap to growth with an emphasis on culture, supply chain integrity, and long-term strategic planning. Together we created the #CohereFoodLab where Erik currently advises brands that are putting the health of people and the planet first.

Applicable to any industry, the scalable business model crafted for Tender Greens gives equal emphasis to margins and mission. Your business, especially now, can be a powerful engine for needed social change. Ten Year Plan shows you how.
Workshops and Advisory
Startups are having to think about expanding to new channels more quickly than ever before, in order to ensure that they get the word out about their company before their competitors. To help them in this process we offer 1-on-1 advisory services and various workshops to help with planning, expansion, and growth.
Advisory Work
Erik has developed a process to personally guide entrepreneurs through the various phases of growth. His work with founders begins with a series of questions to understand where the brand/ entrepreneur is today in order to articulate the vision, goals, and destination for the brand well into the future. Most importantly he helps set the strategic priorities forward to move the brand from where it is today to the visionary destination in the far off tomorrow.
The scope of each brand is unique to the circumstances. Whether one needs a pitch deck for investors or a long-term coach to develop the leadership attributes necessary to succeed at scale.
Workshops
For those who aren’t sure if they want full advisory services Erik offers multiple The Ten Year Plan (TYP) workshops throughout the year. This three-week course is designed for hospitality, food, consumer product goods, and impact-related business owners as they embark on a new chapter with unanticipated challenges. The workshop offers the opportunity to have one-on-one talks with Erik while also meeting like-minded business owners worldwide.
