These Fast Casual Brands are Doing More Than Meets the Eye

The next class of food entrepreneurs we love working with.

Mamahuhu in San Francisco

opens a second location in Mill Valley with a third scheduled early 2023 in Noe Valley. They stand out as a special brand because of their Chinese-American restaurant that has a modern edge. The founders are smart and doing things differently; such as licensing their menu items, utilizing smaller spaces and more to come about innovations.

Honest Greens in Spain and Portugal

is on a growth spurt with sites in Paris in the coming year. This is a brand inspired by the work we did at Tender Greens with an amazing commitment to quality, wellness and relaxed hospitality. But their authentic ability to lean into European-longer-lunches, and center their brand on gathering, is unique and precious. The brand is expected to grow to France soon, which should be an interesting multi-country journey to follow.

will be featured on Shark Tank on October 7th to pitch his amazing kimchi brand to the sharks. Given the work we did together late last year to set his Ten Year Plan in motion I am predicting a favorable outcome. Tune in to watch on ABC.

is opening its second location in Urban Spaces in October serving their amazing plant based burgers created by Amanda Cohen of Dirt Candy. Their ability to furbish food servicing places with the “non Beyond or Impossible” option for actual plant based burgers, has kept them growing during the rougher days of COVID in NYC
